Custom RTD Design Guide. Use our custom RTD design guide as a starting point for your probe. Available in various styles, dimensions and ohmic values, we offer custom designs for monitoring surface temperature, air temperature and direct immersion liquid temperature with a variety of probe types and housings. Housing options include closed end tubes, flanged tubes, ring lug/terminal, flag terminal, hex fitting, threaded hex screw, aluminum block, air flow birdcage and transition probes. We offer both Pt100 ohm thin film and Pt100 ohm wire wound Class A elements for most constructions as well as Pt1000 ohm thin film Class A elements.
For higher temperature industrial applications, we offer mineral insulated probes which are more robust and can be shaped and formed to each application. These sensors are available in longer lengths than the traditional tube and wire RTD design. They are available in 3- or 4-wire designs with 316 SS sheath material. Available sizes include 1/8", 3/16" and 1/4" diameter sheath material. Most constructions can be terminated with a 3-prong plug, 3- and 4-wire Teflon or fiberglass leads and industrial protection heads.
