Cartridge Heaters
High-density cartridge heaters are round tubular heaters with electrical terminations on one side. These dependable heaters are made to withstand tough industrial usage. With a tolerance of +/- 0.002” on their outside diameter to secure a tight fit inside receptacle holes, and rock hard compaction of MgO insulation through swaging, these heater can attain 1500°F sheath temperature.
These heaters are available with various termination styles and mounting attachments.
Mica Strip Heaters
Mica insulated strip heaters are economical heat sources, suitable for providing heat to flat surfaces. For higher watt density configurations ther are available with mineral insulation. The sheath temperature limitation is 900°F. These heaters can be made to include pressure plates that improve uniformity and heat transfer. These heaters are available in many electrical termination styles, and can accommodate holes and cut-outs.
Coil and Cable Heaters
Coil and cable heaters are reliable, high performance small diameter heaters used whenever a large amount of heat is required in a confined space. These heaters are fully annealed and can be formed into various shapes and forms. Coil and cable heaters can accommodate thermocouple sensors, and their cross-section could be made square or rectangular to improve heat transfer. HIGHWAT coil heaters are successfully used as powerful heating cells in plastic injection molding hot runner nozzles.
Silicone Rubber Heaters
Fiberglass reinforced silicone rubber heaters are moisture and chemical resistant. Although thin and flexible, they have a rugged construction and can be made to adhere to practically any surface. These heaters can accommodate holes and cut-outs, and can come with a PSA back or a thermostat. SILFLEX heaters are suitable for temperatures below 500°F.
Kapton Heaters
Etched foil FEP bonded heaters operate at temperatures to 450°F and are stocked in rectangular, square and round shapes. The maximum thickness is .008” except at the lead exit. 120 and 28 Volts are standard. PSA, (Pressure Sensitive Adhesive), offers a simple way to install the heaters under 250°F. Lead wires are 12” long Teflon insulated to UL 1180. All heaters are tested for resistance and 1250 Volt dielectric. Leads exit from the center of the narrow portion of the rectangular units. Center of one edge on square units and the outer edge of round units These elements are ideal for end user, test and development applications.
